Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her help and dedication to strengthening South African Social Security Company (SASSA) providers for the duration of an engagement along with the company's senior supervisors at a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled within the 2024 matric examinations.
With the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for that National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% on the registered pupils within the education and learning sector.
These learners reached a commendable pass rate of 86%.
