The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are now open and can close on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house that has a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined house income won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to nsfas status check all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected 2025 nsfas application within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
